Newborns suffer from colic and annoying gas very naturally until about the third month, especially in cold weather. Hence, they need some actions from us to relieve their pain. In the following, some simple ways to relieve colic and annoying gas in infants.

We can reduce it as much as possible in simple and easy ways

Breastfeeding the baby from one side of the chest at a time, we sing it in the middle and complete the feeding on the same side, as the fatty rear milk is the best treatment.

Placing the infant on his stomach for 10 minutes under observation

Keep the baby upright for 10 minutes, such as standing on the mother's shoulder or sitting on her lap

Bathe the infant in a warm bath and gently rub his belly with olive oil in a circular motion clockwise.

Use of analgesic and gas repellent according to his age

It is forbidden to give the infant anything other than breast milk until six months

The mother should reduce her meals from dairy, spices, legumes, frying pans, and sugar, because her baby is affected by what his breastfeeding mother eats.

A nursing mother is advised to drink warm and gas-repelling water and fluids such as: cumin, anise, and cinnamon, as they are wonderful to relieve colic and gas for her and her infant, and increase her milk.
